What happens at your equine sports massage appointment?
Initial appointment will last approximately 90minutes, follow ups will be approximately 60minutes.
1. History & Consultation - We discuss your horse's history, management, feeding, exercise and any concerns.
2. Static and Dynamic Assessment - I'll assess your horse both at rest and in movement, using photos/videos where appropriate to help monitor changes over time.
3. Palpation - I'll assess the tissues and identify areas that may need attention.
4. Manual Therapy - Treatment may include hands-on techniques, stretches and K-tape where appropriate.
5. Aftercare Advice - You'll receive practical advice for immediately after treatment and ongoing management.

Working alongside your vet
Your horse's vet remains the lead healthcare professional and bodywork should never be sought before or instead of vet advice. I work collaboratively with vets and other paraprofessionals where appropriate, to ensure each horse receives the best possible care from a multidisciplinary team, and will seek veterinary consent before treatment.
