Equine Sports Massage
I began training with Animal Therapy Solutions in 2025 to obtain an Ofqual-regulated Level 4 qualification in Equine Sports Massage, supporting my aim to expand my practice to include equine clients.
I am registered with the Animal Health Practitioners Register (AHPR), a member of the Equine Sports Massage Association (ESMA), and hold comprehensive professional indemnity insurance provided by Balens.
Membership of professional organisations ensure that all practitioners adhere to their Code of Professional Conduct, and are working with aligned ethics. The code clearly outlines the standard of practice and behaviour expected from its members.
I continue to develop my knowledge and practical skills through regular CPD, and shadowing experienced paraprofessionals and learning from their expertise. This enables me to keep up to date with current approaches and best practice across both equine and human soft tissue therapy.
By law, I am required to obtain veterinary consent before treating a horse. I aim to work collaboratively with vets, as the lead caregivers, to ensure each horse receives the best possible care from a multidisciplinary team.
